Winter Storm Warning in Effect Sunday 10 AM through Monday 6 PM

The following update was just released to the Town of Odessa from NCC Emergency Management. We are following the storm and have now put our snow crews on stand by.

**To assist the snow plows, if you are able to, please move vehicles from street parking**

The New Castle County Office of Emergency Management advises our public safety partners that the previously issued Winter Storm Watch has now been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for Delaware, as confidence continues to increase in a significant winter storm impacting our area Sunday through Monday.

Current National Weather Service guidance indicates snow will develop Sunday morning, possibly beginning briefly as rain or a rain/snow mix before transitioning to all snow as colder air arrives. The most intense snowfall is expected Sunday evening through Monday morning, with widespread totals generally projected in the 8–18 inch range across the region and the potential for locally higher amounts.https://mcusercontent.com/c76f30aaf484acb6872e69a90/files/b9f55d7d-30f5-8003-10c7-4d72c0f02567/Feb22_23WinterStormBriefing4.pdf
