FREE Lead Paint & Safety Issues
lead_abatement_council_of_odessa_061726There is a FREE service in New Castle County and the City of Wilmington for inspection, work, and having properties declared Lead Safe. The attached flyer gives some details.
Income is of the Tenant, not the Owner. (Example Family of four under $88,000)
A vacant property would take about 3 months. An occupied property will take “as long” as it takes to work with the tenant. They do relocate the tenant, at no expense to the owner, while the work is being done. They do all the work at no expense to the owner!
If a property has no chipped or flaking paint, it will not qualify. Ones that do have either of these also may also qualify for new windows, doors, baseboards, etc. Properties that have current major structural issues must have them repairs before their inspection can be completed.
